Groundbreaking Ceremony of Narra Residences (MU8): A New Step for Thu Thiem Urban Area
On November 8, 2025, the Narra Residences (MU8) project in the Empire City complex, Thu Thiem (Thu Duc City) officially started construction. This event marks an important milestone in the development of the core urban area of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area - a modern financial, commercial and service center of Ho Chi Minh City in the future.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held right at the MU8 plot of land, Empire City area, with the participation of the joint venture investors including Keppel Land (Singapore), Gaw Capital, Tien Phuoc and Tran Thai - the units that have contributed to the formation of a chain of high-end projects in the East of Ho Chi Minh City.
Narra Residences is located on a land area of about 7,685 m², including two 29-storey towers with a total of hundreds of luxury apartments. The project is expected to become one of the iconic subdivisions of Empire City, possessing a view towards the Saigon River and the center of District 1.
The design of Narra Residences was undertaken by 10 Design, a famous international architectural unit. The project is shaped in a modern style, with a fully covered glass surface, creating an open living space, capturing natural light and a wide view.

The project's product types are diverse - from 1 to 4 bedroom apartments, duplexes to penthouses, suitable for many customer groups from successful young people to multi-generational families.
The internal utility system is arranged synchronously, including an infinity pool with panoramic city views, a sports area, a sky lounge, a gym/yoga room, a children's play area, and a rooftop landscape garden.
According to information from the investor, before the groundbreaking ceremony, the project completed load testing and pile driving, fully preparing the technical conditions for the official construction phase.
The main contractor in charge of the construction is Ricons, a unit that has participated in many large high-rise buildings in Ho Chi Minh City.

Narra Residences is expected to be completed and handed over in 2027-2028, and will be one of the earliest completed subdivisions in the Empire City complex.
Narra Residences is located right on Mai Chi Tho Street, adjacent to Thu Thiem Tunnel, connecting directly to District 1 center in just a few minutes. From this location, residents can easily move to key areas such as Sala urban area, District 9 high-tech park and Long Thanh airport in the future.
Not only does it have a favorable location, the project is also located in an area with the most complete infrastructure in Thu Duc City, oriented to become the new economic and financial center of the city.
This promises strong added value for investors as well as high-class living quality for future residents.
The groundbreaking of Narra Residences shows a positive signal of the real estate market in Ho Chi Minh City, especially the high-end segment after a period of stagnation.
The project contributes to accelerating the overall completion of Empire City, while strengthening the confidence of international investors in the sustainable development potential of the Thu Thiem area.
With the groundbreaking ceremony of Narra Residences (MU8), the joint venture investor Empire City continues to affirm its vision of creating an iconic living space for Ho Chi Minh City.
This event is not only the beginning of a project, but also an important step on the journey to build a new look for the Thu Thiem urban area - a modern, dynamic and livable center of the city in the future.
Empire City is a large-scale complex located in Functional Area No. 2B - Thu Thiem New Urban Area, with a total area of over 14.5 hectares and a total expected investment capital of up to 1.2 billion USD. The project is invested by the Imperial City Joint Venture (including Keppel Land, Tien Phuoc, Tran Thai and Gaw Capital Partners) - leading names in the field of high-end real estate development in Vietnam and the region.
Empire City is planned to include 11 functional lots with many iconic subdivisions such as Linden Residences (MU4), Tilia Residences (MU7), Cove Residences (MU11), and most recently Narra Residences (MU8). The center of the project is the Empire 88 Tower - a 333 m high building expected to become the tallest building in Vietnam when completed, bearing the unique architectural mark of the Büro Ole Scheeren Group (Germany).
When completed, Empire City will form an integrated urban complex including luxury apartments, offices, commercial centers, 5-star hotels and modern public facilities, surrounded by green space, riverside promenades and a large central park. The project is considered the “heart” of Thu Thiem, a place where high-class living, working and entertainment values converge, while contributing to shaping the appearance of the new financial and commercial center of Ho Chi Minh City.
