Trump Tower Project in Ho Chi Minh City: A Billion-Dollar Landmark and Strategic Expansion into Vietnam
The Trump Tower project is expected to be developed in Ho Chi Minh City, with a scale of at least 60 floors and a total investment of up to USD 1 billion. This high-end real estate project, branded under Trump Tower, marks the presence of the Trump Organization in Southeast Asia and represents a strategic move to expand into the Vietnamese market.
According to Reuters, the Trump Tower project in Vietnam is being carried out by the Trump Organization in partnership with the Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC). The project is currently undergoing necessary legal procedures, and construction is anticipated to begin in 2026, depending on the pace of approval by local authorities.
Trump Tower is expected to be located in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area—the rapidly developing financial center of Ho Chi Minh City. The area is attracting significant attention from international investors thanks to its large-scale infrastructure developments.
The project will be implemented through a joint venture between the Trump Organization and KBC. The Trump Organization will oversee operations, brand management, and international standards, while KBC will be responsible for infrastructure development and financial investment. The initial investment is projected at around USD 1 billion, with potential increases if the building is approved to exceed 60 floors.

The visit of Mr. Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, in May 2025 drew substantial attention from the media and investors. During his visit, Mr. Eric Trump attended meetings with Ho Chi Minh City leaders, surveyed the Thu Thiem area, met with Vietnamese partners, and participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for a golf resort project in Hung Yen province. This resort project is also a collaboration between the Trump Organization and KBC, with a total investment of up to USD 1.5 billion.
According to internal sources, the Trump Organization sent two delegations to Vietnam in May: one led by Eric Trump and another headed by the Project Director of Trump International in Hung Yen.
Trump Tower and the Opportunity in Vietnam’s Real Estate Market
The Trump Tower in Ho Chi Minh City and the golf resort in Hung Yen are two flagship projects of the Trump Organization in Vietnam, with the prominent involvement of KBC—one of the country’s leading real estate corporations. Under the leadership of Mr. Dang Thanh Tam, KBC has shown remarkable growth, with Q1 2025 revenue reaching over VND 3,100 billion and post-tax profits of VND 1,124 billion, surpassing their initial targets.
On April 25, KBC committed nearly VND 6,000 billion to the resort and golf complex in Hung Yen, demonstrating its strong resolve in implementing its partnerships with the Trump Organization.
Once completed, Trump Tower in Thu Thiem will be the second Trump-branded skyscraper in Asia—following the Philippines—and one of the few in Southeast Asia. The project is expected to be not only an architectural icon but also a catalyst for a new wave of luxury real estate investment in Vietnam.
During the groundbreaking ceremony in Hung Yen, Mr. Eric Trump stated, “Our projects in Vietnam will make the whole of Asia envious,” and pledged continued oversight and support to accelerate the progress of the projects in Vietnam.

With Vietnam–U.S. relations recently elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the return of the Trump brand to Vietnam carries significant meaning. It underscores Vietnam’s increasingly attractive investment environment for global corporations and highlights the rising U.S. capital flow into high-value sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, and luxury tourism.
Although an exact groundbreaking date for Trump Tower has not been confirmed, preparations are actively underway. If realized, the project will not only become a new architectural landmark in Ho Chi Minh City but also serve as a powerful symbol of future U.S.–Vietnam investment cooperation.
