Thủ Thiêm 2 Bridge spans the Saigon River, connecting District 1 and Thủ Đức City. Construction began in 2015, with a total investment of nearly 3,100 billion VND. In September 2021, the bridge was joined, and it is expected to be completed and opened by April 30.
In the last days of March 2022, the surface of Thủ Thiêm 2 Bridge was asphalted. The road extends across the Thủ Thiêm Peninsula.
The bridge's end near the Metropole Thủ Thiêm project will directly benefit from the opening of Thủ Thiêm 2 Bridge. The Metropole Thủ Thiêm project consists of four phases: Galleria Residence, Crest Residences, Opera Residences, and Phase 4, which will be launched in 2022. Currently, Phase 1, Galleria Residence, has been handed over with three 12-story towers.
